NRS-21151 | Final report of the Special Inquiry into the Commissioners of the Corporate Affairs Commission

On 8 April 1986, the Premier of New South Wales directed, under Section 101 of the Public Service Act 1979, that the Public Service Board carry out a special inquiry into whether the Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission or any other commissioner impeded, or sought to impede, the Commission's investigation into the Balanced Property Group. (1) The 571-page final report of the inquiry was presented to the Premier on 22 November 1988 (2) and was ordered to be printed in February 1989. (3)The report is contained on three 5.25 inch floppy disks. The discs are accompanied by a brief handwritten note explaining the outcome of the enquiry and the software and operating system used to create the report, PWP word processing software running on the BTOS platform.The printed version of the report is included as Paper 102 in Volume VIII of the NSW Parliamentary Papers 1988-89-90.
