We used CRISPR/Cas9 to edit the seed sequence of the bantam miRNA gene in Drosophila. Three mutant seeds were generated in this study (named "m11", with seed: CTACCA; mutant "m13", with seed: CTACTC; mutant "m15", with seed: CTAGAC). Small RNA-Seq was performed on whole body L1 heterozygous larvae to determine the expression level of mutant vs. wild-type bantam miRNAs.
