The GHTorrent Dataset was developed by the Software Engineering Department of Delft University in the Netherlands to support research in the fields of software engineering and natural language processing. This dataset collects all information about repositories and users on the GitHub platform via the GitHub API, with a total scale of approximately 750 GB. During its creation, the raw data underwent localization and filtering, with duplicate entries removed and new linked fields added, ultimately forming a more user-friendly MongoDB dataset. This dataset is mainly utilized to address challenges in software engineering, such as issues concerning tasks, users, projects and software development.
