Microbiome of the mangrove tree (Rhizophora stylosa). Plant metagenome

In this study, we aimed to characterize the mangrove tree (Rhizophora stylosa) microbiome. The studied microbiome including different soil (rhizosphere) and plant compartments (root endosphere, stem endosphere and leaf endosphere). Specifically, we tested and/or quantify (i) effect of soil-plant compartments along with their physicochemical properties (only for the plant compartments) on richness and community composition of bacteria and fungi, (ii) microbial transport along the different soil-plant compartment and (iii) potential soil microbial ecological functions in the rhizosphere.
