Floating peat mat formation in northern pond of the Xingkai Lake

In this data set, we shown the formation age of the floating peat mat, the dry bulk density, carbon, nutrients (TN, TP, TK), and typical carbon compounds obtained through FTIR spectrum (carbohydrate and aromatic) of the selected peat core in studied floating peat mat.
