To comprehensively identify RIFINs that bind to KIR2DL1, we generated an expression library of RIFINs from the P. falciparum 3D7 strain. Subsequently, we screened transgenic parasites expressing KIR2DL1-binding RIFINs from this library using a KIR2DL1-Fc fusion protein.
