Broad Institute Cancer Dependency Map, CRISPR Avana dataset 18Q1 (Avana_public_18Q1)

Avana_public_18Q1 contains the results of screening 391 cancer cell lines with the Avana CRISPR-Cas9 genome-scale knockout library generated as part of the Broad Institute's Cancer Dependency Map project. As our screening efforts continue, we will be releasing additional cancer dependency data on a quarterly basis for unrestricted use. Descriptions of the experimental methods and the CERES algorithm are published in http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/ng.3984.Avana_public_18Q1 includes the results of 51 lines not previously made public, while the previously published line G401 has been dropped for insufficient separation of positive and negative controls under new QC protocols. Additionally, avana_public_18Q1 includes inferred probabilities of dependency for each gene in each cell line, as described in the README. File, row, and column name conventions have been standardized and will remain constant in future releases (other than occasional changes to the columns present in sample_info).
