Dataset v1.0; Repeated Subduction of Horst-graben Topography Drives Distributed Shear Zone Development in the Frontal Prism

Overview This dataset contains the raw image data used in the main experiment in the manuscript: Koge, H., Noda, A., Miyakawa, A., Tachibana, T., Nishimoto, M. M., Okuma, Y., Oda, N., Tonai, S., Kaneko, N., Sakuma, H., and Otsubo, M. (under review). The manuscript is currently under review for a special collection on slow to fast earthquakes in subduction zones (AGU journals). Image Acquisition and Processing Images were originally acquired using a Canon EOS-1D X Mark III camera in CR3 format.The images were cropped and converted to 16-bit grayscale, and saved in TIFF format. Data Description The dataset includes 2,074 sequential images (~11 MB per image). File Name Each image file is named as follows: YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS_XXXXXX_YYY.tif YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS: acquisition date and time The elapsed time is represented by combining XXXXXX and YYY.XXXXXX: elapsed time in seconds from the start of acquisitionYYY: elapsed milliseconds (0–999) Notes These images represent the original data prior to Digital Image Correlation (DIC) analysis.Further details on DIC processing are provided in the manuscript.
