资源简介:
This repository contains the data and replication materials for The Meritocracy Myth: Supply–Demand Concentration and Economic Barriers in Elite Orchestral Pipelines. The datasets support an empirical analysis of structural inequality in the United States orchestral labor market by linking higher-education training pipelines to professional orchestra employment. Publicly available, de-identified analytic datasets include employer-side degree-level training records for professional musicians and processed IPEDS music degree completion data (2011–2024). These data enable analysis of institutional concentration, training pathways, and labor-market outcomes without including personally identifying information. Raw musician biography data and associated data-collection artifacts are restricted files due to privacy considerations. Access to restricted materials may be granted for scholarly research upon reasonable request and subject to review.
