资源简介:
94 same-sex stranger pairs (188 individuals) participated in a social-coordination study (41 Male: 19 same-race, 22 cross-race; 53 Female: 22 same-race, 31 cross-race). Participants were seated facing one-another in a room with video cameras directed at each individual. Psychophysiological sensors were then attached to participants, followed by completion of baseline questionnaires. Each pair was randomly assigned to either a neutral or ego depletion task, followed by either a social interaction condition where they engaged in a self-disclosure task (Aron et al., 1997) or a neutral condition where they took turns correcting a text that required edits. Following another round of measures, the participants then played a cooperative card game task (Cohen Bacdayan, 1994) where they are able to earn money, and the amount they collectively earn depends on their cooperation. One week later, participants returned for another card game with switched roles and new rules, and to complete another battery of measures. UNC-IRB info: “Card Game Study” IRB # 08-0338, first approved 3/6/2008 (Expired 02/17/2015).
