La façade, cantonnée de deux tours inachevées, emprunte des éléments à la grammaire stylistique du nord de la France.  The cathedral is built on the initiative of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II Plantagenet from 1160, consecrated in 1379, it is of Gothic Angevin style (links to the recumbent: https://skfb.ly/Z6xV ).
