Dry Snow Zone Distribution in High Mountain Asia (2015–2024) from Sentinel-1 SAR Observations

This dataset provides annual binary raster maps of dry-snow zones across High Mountain Asia (HMA) for the period 2015–2024, derived from Sentinel-1 C-band SAR observations. Each pixel is classified as dry snow (value = 1) or non-dry-snow (value = 0), based on a backscatter threshold of −6 dB combined with an elevation constraint of 6000 m a.s.l. The spatial resolution is 60 m and the coordinate system is WGS84 (EPSG:4326). Full methodological details are provided in the associated publication: Huang et al. (2026).
