The Macrophage Landscape Across the Lifespan of a Human Cardiac Allograft

To examine the evolving landscape of immune cells in the human cardiac allograft over time, we collected left ventricular tissue from cardiac allografts at the time of repeat transplantation from 3 pediatric patients at 5 days, 15 months, and 12 years post transplantation and performed snRNA-seq profiling. We included 3 pediatric patients at 5 days (patient 1), 15 months (patient 2), and 12 years (patient 3) post transplantation (5dPT, 15mPT, and 12yPT). Left ventricular tissues were collected at the time of repeat transplantation surgeries and profiled using 10X Genomics snRNA-seq.
