Timeline & Glossary of Events in modern China

This dataset provides a list of the conventional expressions used to name events in modern Chinese history (1939-1949) in historical literature and other common sources such as internet web sites. It was established with the view to collect as complete as possible the expressions used in historical literature for data mining and NLP processing. The dataset is bilingual (English, Chinese). There are duplicates since the same event may have been labelled by different expressions. The dataset also provides the dates of events and can serve as a timeline of modern Chinese history.
