Ciclopirox ethanolamine (CPX), is a novel regulator of HSCs and preserve the primitive stem cell state of these cells. By treateing human CB-HSPCs with CPX we observed a substantial increas on number of stem and porgenitor cells detected by phenotypic monitoring of stem cell markers. we performed this microarray analysis to identify the differentialy expressed genes upon CPX treatment. Cord blood-derived enriched fraction (CD34+CD90+) cells were treated with either DMSO control or CPX for 24 hours or 6 days ex vivo. Cells were harvested at these time points and analyzed for differentially expressed genes.
