Calibrated EM Example Datasets for SpyDE and em_database

Calibrated example electron microscopy datasets packaged as zipped .zspy (Zarr) stores for use with em_database, HyperSpy, pyxem and SpyDE. Each file is a subset of a much larger acquisition, reduced to a size that is practical to download while keeping the axes calibration and acquisition metadata intact. LayeredCuNb4DSTEM.zspy (0.72 GB) — 4D-STEM of a layered Cu/Nb nanolaminate, 128×128 probe positions × 256×256 diffraction patterns, uint16. Nearly parallel 1.58 mrad probe on a Direct Electron Celeritas XS at 200 kV, each pattern the sum of 32 camera frames at 25000 fps. Reciprocal space calibrated at 0.0078768 Å-1/px and centred on the direct beam. AmorphousFilm4nm4DSTEM.zspy (1.10 GB) — 4D-STEM of a 4 nm amorphous thin film, 256×256 probe positions × 128×128 patterns, uint16. 2.5 mrad probe on a Direct Electron Celeritas at 49000 fps. Calibrated in both real (0.12325 nm/px) and reciprocal (0.12453 nm-1/px) space. HREBSDStrainPatterns.zspy (1.28 GB) — high-resolution EBSD patterns on a Direct Electron DE-Meridian, 32×32 positions at 25 nm step × 1024×1024 patterns, uint16. Each pattern is the sum of 256 counted frames, binned 2×2 from 2048×2048. InSituElectrochemGrowth.zspy (2.44 GB) — in-situ electrochemistry TEM movie, 245 frames × 4096×4096 px, uint8. 300 kV on a Direct Electron DE-Artemis in hardware counting mode, 0.45448 nm/px, 0.26208 s between saved frames. ApoferritinApollo15eps.zspy (0.48 GB) — a single cryo-EM movie of apoferritin, 76 counted super-resolution frames × 8192×8192 px, uint8, at 0.2995 Å/px and 56.96 e-/Å2 total dose. Repackaged from EMPIAR-11254 (CC0); the super-resolution gain reference is embedded in the file metadata. Where gain-corrected float32 data was converted to uint16 a scale factor is recorded in metadata.Signal.scale_factor_to_ADU; multiply the stored values by it to recover the original ADU. Per-file provenance, including the exact crop and binning applied, is in metadata.General.notes of each signal. eXSpy EELS tutorial datasets (mirrored) — the six files below are not new data. They are mirrored verbatim from hyperspy/exspy-demos at commit 927d1f21b3b8 so that em_database has a single archival source. They were acquired and prepared by the eXSpy demo authors credited in the contributors list, not by the depositor. CuZn_EELS_mapping_tutorial.hspy — EELS spectrum image of Cu/Zn oxide on carbon nanotubes, 40×50 positions at 0.9214 nm × 162 channels covering 700–1988 eV at 8 eV dispersion (Cu-L2,3, Zn-L2,3). JEOL ARM200F, GIF Quantum ER, 200 kV. CuZn_HAADF.hspy — the HAADF survey image acquired simultaneously with the above, 40×50 px at 0.9214 nm. LSMO_STO_linescan.hspy / LSMO_STO_linescan_low_loss.hspy — DualEELS core-loss and low-loss line scan across a La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 film on SrTiO3. 10 positions at 3.152 nm × 512 channels; core loss 395–906 eV (Ti-L2,3, O-K, Mn-L2,3, La-M4,5), low loss −50–461 eV. JEOL ARM200cF, Gatan Quantum ER, 200 kV. LSMO_linescan.hspy / LSMO_linescan_low_loss.hspy — DualEELS pair through an LSMO film where part of the film received a long beam exposure, inducing oxygen vacancies. 40 positions at 3.219 nm; core loss 428.5–721 eV at 0.5 eV, low loss −50–461.5 eV. 80 kV. Note: the Sample.description field inside both CuZn files reads "Ta2O5 25% TiO2 CSIRO 400C", which is stale metadata carried over from an unrelated acquisition; the data itself is Cu/Zn oxide as described above.
