资源简介:

The increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into higher education has transformed teaching, learning, and information management practices, raising both opportunities and ethical challenges. This study examines how students and professors at a public university in northern Mexico use AI tools in their academic activities, aiming to identify patterns of use, perceived benefits, and concerns related to their adoption. A descriptive quantitative design was employed through an online survey conducted in 2025 with 213 students and 57 professors from diverse disciplines. The instrument gathered data on frequency and purposes of AI use, perceived advantages, ethical considerations, and institutional support. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic categorization of open-ended responses. Results indicate that both groups acknowledge AI’s usefulness for research, writing, and content generation; however, professors express greater caution regarding ethical implications and academic integrity. Students report more frequent use, particularly for summarizing and drafting texts. The findings underscore the need for institutional policies and digital literacy programs that promote the ethical, critical, and pedagogically sound integration of AI in higher education.
