Global analysis of transcriptome sequences of Spinibarbus caldwelli

Spinibarbus caldwelli is a small to middle sized fish, which belongs to the order Cypriniformes, family Cyprinidae and genus Spinibarbus, widely distributed in the rivers of southern China. The present study aimed to identify the adaptive evolution of S. caldwelli by using transcriptome data and provided genetic information regarding this novel fish in China.
