Executor, Trustee and Probate Attorney Fees by State, 50 States and DC (2026)
收藏资源简介:
For each of the 50 US states and the District of Columbia, how the personal representative (executor) of an estate is paid, how the estate's attorney is paid, and how a trustee is paid, each tied to the statute or court rule text it rests on. Most states leave the executor's fee to the court as reasonable compensation. Twenty three put a number in statute: 14 set a schedule, 7 cap the fee, Florida presumes a schedule reasonable and Missouri sets a minimum. Seven states set the estate attorney's fee by schedule, and four set a statutory fee for some trustees. Schedules are recorded as machine-readable tiers along with the base each percentage applies to, which differs sharply by state. A text copy of every statute relied on is included. All rows verified 2026-09-23.
