New Geospatial Dataset of Dams and Reservoirs in Switzerland with Georeferenced Dam Locations

This dataset contains georeferenced information on large and most smaller dams and reservoirs in Switzerland, including dam names, coordinates, years of construction, and maximum reservoir volumes. It was created as part of a bachelor's thesis at ETH Zurich in the Chair of Hydrology and Water Resources Management. Created to support spatial analyses of river fragmentation and hydrological regulation, the dataset merges official sources with new information on dam locations and provides a basis for further hydrological and ecological studies.
