Immortalized_EVT_RNAseq

Preeclampsia is a severe pregnancy-related syndrome that is caused by poor placentation. Many studies suggested that mild hypoxia is necessary for the invasion of extravillous trophoblasts (EVT), but defects in the remodeling of spiral arteries by EVTs may result in severe hypoxia and poor placentation. Accordingly, the goal of this project is to investigate how hypoxia promotes EVT invasion and why chronic hypoxia lead to poor placentation.
