This dataset sets out:A) a table with the times of visits by 3 albatrosses to sites of traditional harvest of muttonbirds Puffinus griseus near southern New Zealand. The dataset relates to times when tracked birds were within 2 km of the coast of a site where muttonbirds were being harvested during the period of albatross tracking. b) The GPS data from the albatross that visited 22 muttonbirding sites shown in Fig 2 of the paperc) the GIS files for Fig 1 in the paper that show the 50% and 95% kernel of the 40 tracks of 17 albatrosses, showing their main areas of distribution during the study period.
