# Zambezi Wildfire–Vegetation–Water Analysis This repository contains the processed monthly basin-level dataset and analysis code supporting: “Surface Thermal State, Hydrologic Mediation, and Post-Fire Memory:A Multimethod Satellite Analysis of Wildfire–Vegetation–Water Couplingin the Zambezi River Basin.” ## Contents - `data/`: Monthly basin-level variables and standardized anomalies, January 2003–November 2024.- `code/`: Google Colab notebook and Python analysis script.- `results/`: Statistical model outputs used in the manuscript.- `figures/`: Figures generated from the analysis. ## Variables - Burned area- NDVI- Precipitation- Soil moisture- Land surface temperature- Evapotranspiration ## Source datasets - MODIS MCD64A1 burned area- MODIS MOD13Q1 NDVI- CHIRPS precipitation- ESA CCI soil moisture- MODIS MOD11A2 land surface temperature- MODIS MOD16A2 evapotranspiration See the manuscript for full citations and processing details. ## Reproduction Open `code/wildfire_analysis.ipynb` in Google Colab and run the cells in order. ## Software Python version: [insert version] Principal packages:- pandas- numpy- scikit-learn- statsmodels- matplotlib ## License Data and code are provided for research and reproducibility purposes.
