Promoter Defects-mediated Enhancer Release and Retargeting Activates Disease Genes

Enhancers act to drive promoter activity and upregulate gene expression has been well-characterized. But it remains unclear how enhancers and promoters establish their specificity in the large genome space. Here we conducted a series of genomic and epigenomic profiling as well as crispr/cas9 mediated promoter knockout to examine the relationship between enhancers and promoters, both as transcription units. The data include ChIP-seq, GRO-seq, 4C-Seq.
