Documentation-Based Security and Privacy Benchmark of 25 Commercial Smart Farming Product Ecosystems

This dataset contains the complete benchmark materials for a documentation-based assessment of the disclosed security and privacy posture of 25 commercially active smart farming product ecosystems, spanning five categories: soil and field sensors, agricultural drones, IoT gateways, irrigation controllers, and farm management platforms. Each product was scored against a 52-item binary instrument organized around the STRIDE (security) and LINDDUN (privacy) threat-modeling frameworks, producing three indices: a Security Assurance Index (SAI), a Privacy Readiness Index (PRI), and a Documentation Sufficiency Index (DSI). Every score is supported by a recorded evidence reference citing the specific vendor document and clause, yielding an auditable trail of 1,300 evidential references. Documentation was collected and archived in April 2026. The deposit includes: (1) an annotated workbook containing the full extraction instrument, the codebook defining all 52 items and their scoring rules, a category-level summary, and a URL register of all documentation sources; and (2) the same scored data in long format (1,300 rows, one per product-item pair) for use in statistical software. The benchmark assesses disclosed posture in publicly available documentation rather than implemented technical practice. Archived vendor documents are not redistributed; the URL register records the public sources and access dates used for scoring.
