PEMF treatment effects on horse blood parameters

Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is frequently used in the horse industry. However, its effects on equine physiology are not well understood. This study investigates the short-term in vivo effects of PEMF on the hematological and biochemical parameters of sport horses to fill knowledge gaps and guide the safe and effective use of PEMF therapy in equine care.In this study, active sport horses underwent PEMF therapy (Equi Terra, model EMC-230928/1) over five consecutive days using a full-body blanket and blood samples were collected before and after treatment to evaluate 72 hematological, biochemical, and endocrine parameters.
