<b>Mangrove Extent maps for the Klang Islands, Malaysia</b><br>Satellite derived maps of mangrove extent in the Klang Islands, Malaysia for use within a GIS.<br>Using the 2010 Global Mangrove Watch (GMW) map downloaded from https://data.unep-wcmc.org/datasets/45 as a baseline, a refined local area product was generated by manually editing the GMW polygons in QGIS to match satellite data from 2010.<br>This refined map was then used as a baseline and manually edited to reflect changes when comparing to satellite data for a given year. The output is a map of mangrove extent for each year.<br>Due to the difficulty in obtaining cloud free satellite data for the entire area multiple scenes were used for many years.<br>Data are supplied as polygons in ESRI shapefile format with a separate shapefile for each year.<br><br><b>马来西亚巴生群岛红树林分布范围地图</b> 本数据集为可用于地理信息系统（GIS）的马来西亚巴生群岛红树林分布范围卫星衍生地图。 本研究以2010年全球红树林观测（Global Mangrove Watch, GMW）地图为基准底图，该底图下载自https://data.unep-wcmc.org/datasets/45；随后通过在QGIS中手动编辑GMW多边形要素，匹配2010年卫星影像数据，生成精细化局域产品。 随后以该精细化地图为基准底图，结合对应年份的卫星影像数据进行手动编辑以反映红树林分布变化，最终输出各年份的红树林分布范围地图。 由于难以获取研究区域全域无云的卫星影像，多数年份均采用多景影像进行拼接处理。 数据以ESRI形状文件（ESRI shapefile）格式提供，每一年对应一份独立的形状文件。
