We sequenced the whole nuclear genome of Sesamum indicum (Zhongzhi No.13) using the whole genome shotgun (WGS) strategy. Multiple pair-end libraries with insert size ranging from 170 bp to 20,000 bp were sequenced by Illumina Hiseq 2000 platform. All the data was filtered and the resulted clean data was assembled to scaffolds (supercontigs) using SOAPdenovo.
