Mapping Social Cohesion Survey, 2014

The 2014 Social Cohesion Survey involved a National Survey of 1,526 adults (aged 18 years and over), stratified by State/Territory and capital city/non-capital city. This included a "boost" of 26 interviews with people aged 25 to 34 years to ensure a statistically reliable sample (n=200) was available for analysis of the findings for this subgroup. A dual-frame sample methodology was used in 2014 involving two separate sample frames; one drawn from randomly generated (RDD) landline telephone numbers and a second drawn from randomly generated mobile phone numbers. The study covered a variety of topics, including economic conditions, political participation, socio-cultural attitudes, discrimination, local communities, and voluntary work.
