Transmission dynamics of ESBL producing Enterobacteriaceae

The interactions among patients, healthcare workers, and the intensive care unit (ICU) environment are complex, and the mechanisms of ESBL-E transmission and spread within these settings remain largely unknown. To better understand the transmission routes of ESBL-E within ICUs, we conducted a five-month prospective observational study in a 38-bed ICU at the University Hospital Center of Guadeloupe (French Caribbean Island).
