Loss of Cic leads to aberrant neural stem cell proliferation and differentiation and promotes gliomagenesis. Mus musculus

Mouse neural stem cells were generated from conditional knockout mice (Cicflox/flox) or the wild trype control mice (Cic+/+). Cic is conditionally knocked out following expression of Cre-recombinase. Cre-recombinase was incorporated in vitro via adenoviral-Cre transduction. Overall design: Four Cic+/+ and three Cic-/- NSCs were established from individual animals followed by adenoviral-Cre transduction. Ablation of Cic was confirmed by PCR.
