Argos-type AWS, developed by Univ. of Wisconsin, was installed at the JASE Meeting point (75°53’S; 25°50’E; 3661 m a.s.l.). CMOS-logger-type AWS was installed at the point just at the middle between Dome Fuji (77°19’ S, 39°42’ E, and 3810-m a.s.l.) and the JASE Meeting Point. The location was called as CMOS-AWS Point (76°48’S; 31°54’E; 3742 m a.s.l.). The former AWS has been operational since the date of installation on 2007-12-24. The data are already available on line to the wide community. It measures temperature, wind speed, wind direction. The CMOS-logger-type AWS need to be recovered within a few years.
