The genomes of the strains LE17, IMCC1909, IMCC1923 and IMCC1933 were sequenced, and used to complement a study of metagenome-assembled genomes affiliated to the Roseobacter clade affiliated (RCA) cluster. This allowed a comprehensive analysis of the phylogenomic and functional traits of the RCA cluster, and to resolve its taxonomic speciation and the global biogeography of the RCA sublineages.
