Abstract Title: Flexible translucent to transparent fireproof composite material A method of producing a composite panel (10) comprises the steps of providing a fabric sheet (32) which comprises silica and the refractory index of which is matched to that of a first silicone resin (22) and that of a second silicone resin (24)， modifying the viscosity of the first resin (22) to form a first dispersant (26) and the viscosity of the second resin (24) to provide a second dispersant (28) and combining the dispersants (26， 28) to form a combined silicone resin (30). The combined resin (30) is then applied to the fabric sheet (32) so as to impregnate (34) the sheet and form an uncured composite panel (38)， which is cured (40， 46) to provide a translucent to transparent， flexible and fireproof composite panel usable in， especially， fire curtains. The panel may meet or exceed regulatory requirements in terms of fire endurance and allows transmissivity of necessary amounts of light.
