Dataset for Urban Morphology-Energy Consumption Nexus: Supporting Multi-Criteria Weather Vulnerability Analysis for City Planning
收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports the development of the Weather Vulnerability Index (WVI), integrated into a decision support model combining Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA). Using the City of Joensuu in eastern Finland as a case study, the dataset incorporates remotely sensed data and building-level information to categorize neighbourhoods based on their energy consumption potential. The WVI aims to identify areas that are vulnerable to extreme weather events, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions, such as building renovations or greening initiatives. This dataset includes key inputs for assessing the energy usage potential and vulnerabilities of urban areas, offering valuable insights for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers. This tool can aid in decision-making at both the building and neighbourhood scales, supporting more resilient urban planning and climate adaptation strategies.
