two-stage of pilot-scale TFCW with the first stage of SC-TFCW and the second stage of AA-TFCW were constructed, named as SC-AA-TFCW. The objectives of this study were: 1) to investigate effects of SC-AA-TFCW on simultaneous N and P removal performance at low temperature (<15 oC); 2) to explore the efficiencies and main contributions for P removal in different substrate layers; 3) to determine the shifts in functional bacteria related to N removal by absolute quantification method; 4) to identify the linkage between microbial community and environmental factors.
