Megasphaera elsedenii has been previously reported in the guts of ruminating animals. Its role as an animal-probiotic is being investigated, specifically from the perspective of enhancing animal productivity. Here in, we report the draft genome sequence of a M. elsedenii isolated from the stool sample of a healthy Indian subject.
