Species diversity dataset of liverworts in China

China is one of the countries with the most abundant resources of liverworts, and is also one of the modern distribution centers and differentiation centers of liverworts in the world. Its complex topography, geomorphology and climate have created special heterogeneous space and environment for liverworts. Due to the special geographical location of China, it is of great significance to study the species diversity of liverworts in China for the protection of liverworts diversity, flora research and biodiversity monitoring. In this study, based on a total of 580 literature materials such as flora, plant atlas, protected area plant list, journal papers, etc., combined with a total of 5,5427 specimen data from the National Specimen Resource Sharing Platform, the Global Biodiversity Information Network, and the Missouri Botanical Garden database, a provincial-level administrative region-based geographical unit was compiled. Appendix 1 : List of liverwort species in China ; appendix 2 : Bibliography of liverworts in China ; appendix 3 : List of endemic liverworts in China ; appendix 4 : List of Threatened Liverworts in China ; appendix 5 : Chinese liverworts habitat data set ; appendix 6 : Provincial distribution data set of liverworts in China. The purpose and significance of this study is to provide the latest scientific basic data of liverworts in China, to find out the current situation of liverworts resources in China, and to provide basic data for the study of liverworts diversity in China.
