The dataset contains information on the 301 pairwise comparisons from 47 publications included in the meta-analysis. The calculations of Hedges' g effect sizes are shown. Relevant information including the study design, macrophyte growth form, latitude, longitude, elevation, climatic zone, experiment duration, lake area, lake depth and macrophyte coverage are recorded.
