Multidrug-resistant bacteria in refugee patients – no hint for transmission

The prevalence of multidrug-resistant bacteria is comparatively high in patients with a refugee background. With the help of whole genomes sequence based surveillance data we show that isolates derived from refugee patients are not transmitted into the hospital if standard hygiene measures are applied.
