Single-cell RNA-seq analysis of wild-type mouse and benign human prostate For mouse studies, 8-10 weeks C57BL6/N mice were euthanized, and the full proximal-distal extent of each prostate lobe (Anterior (AP), Dorsal (DP), Ventral (VP) and Lateral (LP)) was microdissected down to its junction with the urethral epithelium. Dissected prostate lobes, either individually or combined, were processed for single-cell RNA-seq. For human studies, specimens were obtained from patients undergoing prostatectomy at the Department of Urology of the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. All patients gave informed consent under the auspices of an Institutional Review Board-approved protocol. Upon surgery, prostate tissues were submitted to the Department of Pathology for standard gross pathological examination and sectioning. Specimens not required for diagnostic testing were de-identified and transferred to the research facility for single-cell RNA-seq. ***Please note that raw data files are currently unavailable and will be provided later.
