FR054, a specific inhibitor of the Hexosamine Biosynthetic Pathway's enzyme PGM3, it has been shown to exert anticancer activity through activation of Unfolded Protein Response (UPR), generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), inhibition of EGFR signalling, and activation of an apoptotic process. Nevertheless, to further detail the transcriptional consequence of HBP inhibition, we performed a transcriptional analysis of pancreatic cancer cells, namely MiaPaca2 and BxPC3, 48h-treated with FR054 and compared to untreated cells.
