The Department of Main Roads Circulars contain typed correspondence advising all divisional engineers of updates to internal processes and management of services within the Department of Main Roads engineering section. The circular is prepared, signed, and dated by the sitting Chief Engineer.Commencing in 1942, the circulars discuss numerous topics including, Construction, Maintenance, Contracts, Accounting, Labour costs, Design and Engineering updates, Project Updates, Safety Requirements etc. Items are bound with some circular facsimiles of the originals.
