This dataset contains raw projection and flat field scan data for CT reconstruction, as well as the fully normalized and reconstructed CT data for the manuscript: "Material decomposition with a prototype photon-counting detector CT system: expanding a stoichiometric dual-energy CT method via energy bin optimization and K-edge imaging" being submitted to the journal Physics in Medicine and Biology. <br><br> The manuscript describes a material decomposition method, which is calibrated on CT data and then can be used to decompose subsequent scans into materials' effective atomic number and relative electron density. <br><br> <b>File Folder Structure:</b><ul> <li>00_README.txt</li> <li>Calibration_data - Model calibration data (known tissue-equivalent materials)</li> <li>Evaluation_data - Model evaluation data (known tissue-equivalent materials)</li> <li>Ex-vivo_data - Model evaluation data on real tissue samples</li> <li>Optimization_data - Model optimization data to determine the best scan parameters for model performance</li></ul>
