Aesthetic injury assessment instrument validation in Brazil

This study aimed to translate and cross-cultural adapt the constants questions in Spanish injury Assessment Impression and Impact Instrument proposed by Cobo Plana (2010) for its possible use in Brazil, and validate this instrument with Forensic Dentistry area dentists. The evaluators applied the four tables method in a sequence of ten images that showed models with and without simulate injury (scars) made with moulage on the face. The four tables translated and culturally adapted into Portuguese language showed potential to offer greater objectivity in the valuation of the aesthetic injury.
