PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of lumber capable of impregnating the lumber with a plurality of impregnation materials， and to provide treated lumber. SOLUTION: In a treating method of lumber， a step including an in-sizing step S1， an impregnation step S2 and a curing step S3 is made as a unit step. In the in-sizing step S1， a plurality of recessed parts having openings at the surface of the lumber， respectively， are formed. In the impregnation step S2， an impregnation material is impregnated from the surface on which a plurality of recessed parts are formed. In the curing step S3， the impregnation material is cured after the impregnation step S2. Then the unit step is repeated two or more times with respect to the lumber. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
