Leucadendron transcriptomes. Leucadendron RNA-seq transcriptomics

We sequenced the transcriptomes in non-reproductive tissue (the fully developed leaves) of males and females of ten Leucadendron (Plantae: Proteaceae) species sampled from across the genus, with the aim to understand the evolution of sex-biased gene expression in particular. There are 6 (or 5) replicate transcriptomes (from genetically distinct individual plants) in each sex and species. Also included is one transcriptome species of a hermaphroditic outgroup, Leucospermum. Tissues were harvested from openly growing plants. In total, this project contains 120 RNA-seq libraries (samples).
