Fram Strait: Possible key to saving Arctic ice

This repository contains the data, figures and code used for analysis and visualization in the study by Detelina Ivanova and co-authors, titled “Fram Strait: Possible key to saving Arctic ice,” which is submitted for publication in Journal of Forntiers in Climate: Climate Adaptation (January 2025).

The repository includes:

Processed climate model output: Data from CESM1.2 climate simulations conducted for the study by the authors. It contains processed model output from CAM (atmospheric model component) and CICE (sea ice model component) and Fram Strait Export extracted and calculated from the CICE model data.

Data formats: The data are stored in NETCDF and CSV formats.

Analysis and visualization code: Scripts written in NCAR Command Language (NCL) and Matlab by Detelina Ivanova.

This repository serves as the primary resource for reproducing the analyses and visualizations presented in the manuscript.
