"A Multi-Source Image Dataset of Flies for Human and Animal Health Risk Analysis"

"Flies are significant vectors of disease, posing serious risks to both human health and livestock productivity. Their presence in environments such as animal bodies, household areas, and waste sites contributes to the spread of harmful pathogens and contamination. This paper presents a multi-source image dataset of flies collected from diverse real-world environments, including images captured on cattle bodies and surrounding areas under varying conditions of lighting, background, and perspective.The dataset is provided without annotations (e.g., segmentation masks or bounding boxes), making it a valuable resource for a wide range of computer vision tasks, including object detection, image classification, segmentation, and semi-supervised learning. Its diversity supports the development of robust and generalizable models for real-world applications.This dataset can facilitate research in smart livestock monitoring, public health surveillance, and intelligent pest control systems. By enabling automated detection and analysis of fly presence, it contributes to efforts aimed at reducing disease transmission, improving animal welfare, and enhancing environmental hygiene.
