Beef and veal meat demand per person in Japan FY 2014-2023

In fiscal year 2023, the consumption volume of beef and veal meat in Japan amounted to around 6.1 kilograms person, a slight increase from approximately 5.9 kilograms in fiscal 2014. While the consumption of meat has been gradually rising in Japan, beef and veal still fall behind of pork and poultry in popularity.
